Internal Programs for Human Resources, Operations, and Managers
These programs can be recognition and promotion only, or they can include an incentive to foster the desired response and result. If you are creating an internal plan, then Employee target areas that you might consider are:
Compliance, Safety, Benefits, Productivity, Quality Control, ISO9001Certification, Educational Seminars and Training Programs, Customer Service, Customer Relations, Employee Relations, Special Activities, Milestones, and Anniversaries.
Also, see Sales Incentive Programs in this section, and Internal Program Selections and Program Planning Template.
Internal Programs are divided into two approaches, Internal Promotional Programs (directly below), and Internal Incentive Programs.
Internal Promotion Campaign  is the first approach which uses promotional items to build awareness, reinforce program goals, build camaraderie, and create enthusiasm surrounding the goal. It is usually theme-based with all of the participants receiving a series of promotional items at intervals throughout the campaign. However, no rewards, gifts, prizes or awards are used in this approach. The Internal Promotion Campaign is a performance enhancing tool to reinforce how an activity or job should be performed.

A variety of ways are available for determining prize recipients. Customarily, prizes are awarded when you achieve your established goals, however, they may be spontaneously given to individuals or groups as managers see performance improvements. Game pieces, scratch cards, or sweepstakes may be employed in an unbiased manner to randomly distribute both general prizes and grand prizes.
